"Getting to Know More: Admin Section"

During our station immersion, we were able to gather information from the different sections of the station. The first section that we headed to was the Administration Section. Administration Section ws primarily responsible for ensuring the performance in all sections of a police station. It provides administrative and technical support to the organization. Also, it processes all admin and documents of all the personnel of the station.

PLT BERNARD NAVARRO is the Chief Admin. Together with three (3) Admin PNCO and 1 NUP, they work together to perform the duties and responsibilities of this section. During our discussion, we discovered that most of the personnel of Sta Rosa reside in the Province of Laguna. In terms of schooling, all of them have undergone mandatory schooling corresponding to their ranks.

Moreover, e-tools have become a helpful tool for easier access of data in this section. PNP Online Personnel Accounting and Information System (PAIS) is a system that contains personal information of all PNP personnel. It becomes helpful in the station because the information can be easily viewed by S1. The Daily Personnel Accounting Report (DPAR) and Police Information and Continuing Education and Pre-Charge Evaluation (PICE) are being conducted by the Admin section wherein in DPAR refers to the accounting of personnel and PICE refers to the activity done after DPAR in order to discuss issues, concerns, and conduct briefing within the day.

In addition, this section ensures that personnel who has undergone training, schooling, or specialization course fits to the section he or she will be assigned to. However, due to lack of personnel, not all sections have been assigned personnel with appropriate schooling. For instance, in PCR section, no personnel in PCR have undergone PCAD training. However, for Investigation and Intelligence, it is required that they have investigation courses.

With our discussion with the Admin section, I am glad that I was able to know more about them. It is not just mere paper works that they have to deal with but without them, it will be difficult for an organization to function well.
